Short answer: book in September or October. Install in early to mid November. That gets you a good date and dry roofs.
September–October: the best time to book
Calendars are open, so you get the install date you want. This is also when early-bird offers usually run.
Early November: beat the first snow
Salt Lake averages its first measurable snow around early November. Snow and ice make roofs slick, which can push installs back. Lights that go up before the first storm are easier and safer to hang.
Mid November to Thanksgiving: the rush
Most people want lights on by Thanksgiving. The weeks before it are the busiest of the year. If you book late, you may get a date after Thanksgiving instead.
After Thanksgiving
You can still get lights up. Dates are fewer, and weather is more likely to cause delays. Check your price now and pick the earliest window that works.
Takedown in January
We take lights down after New Year's, weather permitting. Icy roofs may delay takedown a bit. Then we store your lights until next season.
