Most installers price by the foot
Pros measure the rooflines they light and charge a rate per foot. Our current rate is $6 per foot, with lights included.
As a general range, national consumer price guides list about $2.50 to $7 per foot. These are general ranges, not quotes. Prices vary by company and by what's included.

What changes the price
- Stories. Taller homes need longer ladders and more time. A 2-story home costs more than a 1-story home of the same size.
- Roof shape. Peaks and angles add more feet of lights than a straight roofline.
- How much you light. Front only, front and sides, or the whole house.
- Trees, bushes and extras. Small trees from $75, medium $150, large $300. Bushes $40 each, wreaths $60 each, walkway lights $4 per foot.

Minimum job
Every install has a minimum of $599. It covers the truck, the crew, setup, takedown and storage, even on a small home.
